Republican Clinical Centre For Infectious Diseases
In March 2020, during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the assignment to design a quick-mounting infectious diseases hospital in Ufa was received. When working on the project, the experience of building similar facilities in Wuhan (China) and in Moscow was analysed and taken into account. Unlike the experience of Chinese colleagues, the project developed is a full-fledged medical centre. When developing the project, it was possible to find a solution that fully complies with the existing Russian standards for the design of such permanent facilities, but it was also able to reduce the daily medical workers staff by 30% and, unlike the facility in Moscow, this project suggests the interconnections of all the departments by heated passages. The project was handed over to the Republic of Bashkortostan at no cost. Further on, several more infectious diseases hospitals were built in the Republic of Belarus, Belgorod and Chelyabinsk regions according to this architectural and planning solution.
